Con Dao ranks in the top 20 world"s most mysterious islands
The Travel and Leisure Magazine – a prestigious tourism magazine of the U.S. - announced the Con Dao (Ba Ria - Vung Tau province) was ranked in the top 20 most mysterious islands in the world.
With an area of 76km2 including 16 small and big islands, pristine beaches and famous monument prisons, Con Dao promises great potentials for tourism development.
In the master plan for Con Dao development to the year 2030 which the Ministry of Construction has recently submitted to the Prime Minister set a target to bring Con Dao become a national, regional and international modern, excellent tourist economy area. It is forecasted to 2030, Con Dao will receive about 250,000 to 300,000 visitors / year, among them international visitors account for about 15% to 20%.
